Hello, and welcome to my blog-The Dog Care Guide, your hub for sustainable dog care tips to help you give your dog the best life possible.
Having owned a boutique dog walking and pet sitting service in New York City for over five years provided me with a valuable vantage point. I gained valuable experience and insight by working with dog trainers, dog groomers, veterinarians, and dog parents- experienced and inexperienced alike.
It also provided me with an opportunity to care for dogs of various breeds and backgrounds -daily.
I learned a lot from my colleagues and my dogs (mostly.) And I continue to learn today. As I continued to provide valuable and sustainable dog care tips and advice to my clients, friends, and strangers, I learned that I had something to offer dog parents and guardians alike.
Things that I assumed were common knowledge about dog care, in-fact, were not.
So with the help of the internet, I decided to take my experience and share it with others. This way, I could help more than just the people in my local service area give their dogs the best life possible.
In addition to having work experience in sustainable dog care, I have always had a life with dogs. I grew up with dogs as a child, and today I am a proud dog mom!
My partner and I have an 11-year old, all black shepherd lab mix (we assume). And she has given us nothing short of sheer joy with her being in our lives. She brings a smile to our faces every single day, especially when we walk through the door.
It’s the best feeling in the world, and I want others to feel that immense joy as well. And we know it comes from providing her with quality care. She gives us a little tiny lick on our hands to say thank you every time we prepare her dinner-literally just seconds before we set down her dinner bowl.
